2.Tell us how you start Champion Video? how were the beginnings?
It started out as a personal movie collection, and I was trying to figure out a cool way to display all of my tapes. So I decided to make the collection look like an old video store since I
3.Terrorific influences and motivations?
missed going to rent tapes like the Glory Days of Blockbuster and the mom-and-pop video stores. It started out where I was renting tapes to friends, and then eventually I made it open to the public by appointment only so people could relive the video store days like a time machine of sorts.
4.Your top 5 into terror,horror gore cinema.
I'm a sucker for any kind of horror comedies, so I would have to say Frankenhooker, Street Trash, Dead Alive, Videodrome, and Blood Feast.
5.Your top 5 into sci-fi cinema.
When it comes to you sci-fi, I love everything Godzilla and Kaiju monster related types of movies. Definitely a Star Wars fan, but I like the weird stuff like Super Inframan, Ultraman, Starcrash, and Robot Jox
6.Are you into extreme metal musick?
Oh hell yeah dude, heavy metal is my go-to along with punk rock music.
7.In your city have horror,terror gore festivals? explain some more.
We don't really have any horror movie related festivals, but I do screenings of horror movies on VHS about once a month at different places throughout Houston. Just to try and bring horror fans together and have something fun and free to do.
8.Morbid future plans?
Eventually I would like to open a brick-and-mortar rental store, that would be part Museum and part video rental where people can come in from all over and rent tapes. Right now I just threw them out of my house by appointment only but would love to have a physical storefront that's open 7 days a week where people can come rent movies out.
